what is god for you?
mig. in the video you were asked what god is for you. is there something you wish to add?
mig. is the word god controversial for you? if yes why?
rs. no, but there are many varied opinions of what god is and everyone should be entitled to their own without forcing it upon others.
mig. do you think of religion when you hear the word god? if yes, why?
rs. yes, that’s how I was raised.
mig. do you believe everything happens for a reason, or are we the reason why things happen?
rs. in a way, both. i like to believe that things happen for a reason but i strongly believe that we are in control of our own destiny. i don’t believe in fate or the idea that the way we live our lives is beyond our own control.
mig. define love. what does love mean for you?
rs. complete trust. understanding and acceptance of yourself and those you love.
mig. do you think love is something all life forms share?
rs. in some way, yes, but i think that humans experience love differently to other life forms - on a deeper, more emotional level.
mig. what in your opinion can make a relationship last a whole lifetime?
rs. trust, acceptance, forgiveness, openness, sharing, dedication and a lot of effort.
mig. what have you learned about life so far?
rs. there’s still so much to learn; one of the biggest lessons i have learnt is that things aren’t black and white, there are so many shades of grey. also that you shouldn’t judge others on the surface; everyone has a story, everyone has reasons for being the way they are and there’s so much we don’t know about one another.
mig. how would you describe us/humanity today?
rs. complex and anxious, yet hopeful.
