what is god for you?

dia dear
date of birth.
place of birth.
boston, massachusetts, usa
performance artist

mig. in the video you were asked what god is for you. is there something you wish to add?
dd. no.

mig. is the word god controversial for you? if yes why?
dd. it's not controversial for me but it's very nondescript for me. it can mean so many different things at the same time.

mig. do you think of religion when you hear the word god? if yes, why?
dd. no i don't

mig. do you believe everything happens for a reason, or are we the reason why things happen?
dd. i don't know, sometimes i think the one, sometimes i think the other.

mig. define love. what does love mean for you?
dd. i think that it is being able to give a kind of care and commitment to another person's personal growth that is exceptional. it's not an amount of energy that you would give to every single person. but i think there's also many different kinds of love.

mig. do you think love is something all life forms share?
dd. i don't know, love could also just be being really in touch with the energy that permeates and creates the world. so yea maybe, i don't know.

mig. what in your opinion can make a relationship last a whole lifetime?
dd. i don't know, i haven't had one of those. i think that there are so many different types of relationships so being able to be really open to change, always. and supporting a person changing, for the better, no matter what.

mig. what have you learned about life so far?
dd. if you think that something is this way, then that is the way you think that it is, not the way that it is. to change the way that you're able to think about something, or like conceptualise a thing means that you can change the whole world that you live in.

mig. how would you describe us/humanity today?
dd. i think overwhelmed. or at least i feel overwhelmed.
