a vision without direction is a dream, a vision without action is a nightmare.

mig. in the video you were asked what god is for you. is there something you wish to add?
rd. no.

mig. is the word god controversial for you? if yes why?
rd. not at all.

mig. do you think of religion when you hear the word god? if yes, why?
rd. yes, it seems to be directly connected to religion. but then, who and what is religion? this is where all the questions come from. i was raised catholic, people would say irish catholic, therefore i am apparently roman catholic. confused? i currently do not associate internally or psychologically with any religion. i believe there may be god, but in likelihood it is internal, many gods, we are all gods.

mig. do you believe everything happens for a reason, or are we the reason why things happen?
rd. those two are so close together, they might be the same. we make things happen, and we are the reason why things happen, so if something negative happens chances are that you caused it. but i believe with a negative there will be a positive and visa versa.

mig. define love. what does love mean for you?
rd. i suppose love is accepting someone and being happy. i don’t want to say content, because then it sounds like a plateau, i think if someone is content things stop happening. if you’re content in a job, you become less progressive. i suppose love is acceptance, sharing and caring. togetherness. but it doesn't have to be a person, it could be anything, a dog, cat. but i don’t think you can love inanimate things like your coat. that's just like, not love.

mig. do you think love is something all life forms share?
rd. potentially yes, i don’t think we just make it. it’s something built-in. but the world we live in seems to be kind of loveless. people are just doing quite selfish things, loving their coats and their shoes while the world we live in seems to be rotting away.

mig. what in your opinion can make a relationship last a whole lifetime?
rd. acceptance. i mean, if we’re talking about relationships, you meet someone based on a lie. every date is a bloody lie, every first interaction is the falsest thing. you’re terrified, you’re nervous, you might say what you think you need to say. i mean, you over-think everything. so i think it’s acceptance from the beginning. but you also have to work on it, everyone that has been in a relationship for a long time will tell you this. you can’t love every little thing about the other, and you have to accept these small things.

mig. what have you learned about life so far?
rd. that it’s awful. haha. i’m perceived as quite cynical, quite pessimistic, but i think i’m pretty realistic. i enjoy myself, but my humour helps me through it. i believe most of society is quite stupid, like with loving objects and spending more time looking at cats on youtube, rather than seeing whats happening in the world. i question if humanity has evolved at all over the past 100 years, i find that people are less intelligent. maybe we have access to more but i question if we are independent or dependent, a spoon fed society and not with freshly prepared food but with highly engineered baby food.

mig. how would you describe us/humanity today?
rd. sick. haha. inhumane, disconnected.
