what is god for you?
mig. in the video you were asked what god is for you. is there something you wish to add?
lm. i think god is something very personal and very political. it means so many different things to so many different people. for me, god is the very positive life and power that flows throughout us and the cosmos. it isn't an entity, so much as a confluence of all of this energy.
mig. is the word god controversial for you? if yes why?
lm. highly. it is something at once very personal and political, so it really it is a double edged emotional trigger.
mig. do you think of religion when you hear the word god? if yes, why?
mig. do you believe everything happens for a reason, or are we the reason why things happen?
lm. i believe that everything happens for a reason if only you extract some lesson (whether it be an easy one or a painful one). we do reason that things happen for a reason, but in doing so, they do happen for a reason. self fulfilling prophecy…
mig. define love. what does love mean for you?
lm. love is a warmth, security, excitement and happiness all poured into one emotion.
mig. do you think love is something all life forms share?
lm. i think it extends pretty far down the food chain. i strongly believe that animals, possibly insects feel love. i can't vouch for amoebas… but i think we would be surprised at how much love can be found in so many difference species.
mig. what in your opinion can make a relationship last a whole lifetime?
lm. patience, compassion, humour, and sharing new adventures together often.
mig. what have you learned about life so far?
lm. it is so hard to balance immediate needs and the state of the world right now to my personal aspirations and ideals.
mig. how would you describe us/humanity today?
lm. a big mess, but there is a lot of hope. i think we are rounding a corner, collectively.
